When shoppers ask which one is best or right for them, AI needs facts to explain the product. The one with more readable information has the edge.

03 · Privacy
Public data only, private results.
Only public data
Both products are read through Shopify’s public channel for AI shopping agents, plus each store’s robots.txt and product page, like any crawler. No login, no token, no app.
Nobody is notified
Neither store owner is told about the comparison. Results aren’t published and aren’t indexed by search engines.
Deleted after 24 hours
The two links and the result are kept for 24 hours, so you can reload or share the link, then deleted.
Your IP address is never stored
To enforce the limit of 3 checks a day, a one-way scrambled code made from your IP is kept for 24 hours. It can’t be turned back into your IP.

Which product will AI recommend?
Nobody can say for sure: no one outside the AI companies knows exactly how their assistants pick products, and the answer changes with the question. What this tool shows is which product gives AI more to work with: complete product data, a readable page, clear policies. A product AI can’t read well is easy to leave out.
Does a lower price beat a better product page?
Sometimes. When shoppers ask for the cheapest option, price weighs heavily. When they ask which one is best, or which one fits their needs, AI needs facts to explain the product, and the product with more readable information has the edge. That’s why the comparison shows price separately instead of mixing it into the score.
Why do the products need to be on two different Shopify stores?
The tool compares your product with a competitor’s. It reads each product through Shopify’s own channel for AI shopping agents, which only Shopify stores have, so both stores need to be on Shopify.
What counts as a similar product?
Two products of the same kind. The tool uses Shopify’s product category to check it: if Shopify files them under different kinds of products, they aren’t compared. If a product has no category, you’ll see a note that similarity couldn’t be confirmed.
Will my competitor know I compared their product?
No. The tool only reads public data, the same way AI shopping agents and search crawlers do. Nothing is sent to either store owner, and comparisons aren’t published or indexed.
How is this different from the store checker?
The store checker looks at your whole store and your top products. The comparison puts one of your products next to a competitor’s, point by point, so you can see exactly where you’re ahead and where you’re behind.
